Full Description
The Bahá'í Temple of South America is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture, inaugurated in 2016 at the foothills of the Andes. It is one of only eight Bahá'í temples in the world and the only one in South America. Its unique design, created by Canadian architect Siamak Hariri, features a glass and steel structure with nine wings rising toward the sky, letting natural light filter through translucent panels of marble and cast glass. The interior is a space for meditation and reflection, open to people of all beliefs. The gardens surrounding the temple are carefully designed with native species and offer spectacular views of Santiago. The tour includes an explanation of the Bahá'í faith, the architecture of the temple and time for personal contemplation.
