Full Description
Buin Zoo is the largest and most modern zoo in Chile, located 35 kilometers south of Santiago. With more than 2,000 animals of 250 species, it offers an educational and entertaining experience for the whole family. The zoo is divided into themed zones that recreate the animals' natural habitats: the African savanna, the tropical jungle, the desert and more. During the tour you can see lions, tigers, giraffes, hippos and a wide variety of exotic birds up close. The zoo also has a contact area where children can interact with domestic animals. Educational shows are held during the day, where the keepers explain the behavior and conservation of the species.
