Who we are
Paseito (www.paseito.cl) is a product of Transportes MCN SpA, Chilean tax ID (RUT) 76.661.927-4, based in Santiago, Chile, which offers private day tours from Santiago. What data we collect
When you book a tour: full name, Chilean RUT or passport number, phone, email, pickup address, trip date and time, number of passengers and any notes you choose to give us. If you tell us about a passenger's disability or health need, that information is sensitive and we use it only to plan the trip properly.
If you reach the payment step without completing it: we keep your name, email, phone, tour, date and amount so we can contact you and help.
When you write to us through the contact form: your name, email and message.
Technical data: like any website, our servers record basic technical data (for example, IP address and browser type) for security and operation.
Payments: payments are processed by Flow. Paseito does not see or store your card or account numbers; we only receive the payment confirmation, the amount and the order number.
What we use your data for
- Managing your booking: arranging the trip and pickup and sending you the confirmation email (with an internal copy to our team).
- Processing and verifying payment through Flow.
- Controlling daily capacity and avoiding double bookings.
- Contacting you if you left a booking unfinished, to help you complete it.
- Answering your questions and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Measuring website use and improving our advertising, only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 6).
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers who need it to deliver the service: Flow (payment processing), our hosting and email provider and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Meta Pixel). Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside Chile. We may also disclose data when a competent authority requires it.
How long we keep it
- Unfinished booking attempts: 30 days.
- Booking record (name, tour, passengers and time) used to manage capacity: up to 90 days after the trip date.
- Emails and documents linked to a sale: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Contact form messages: as long as needed to handle your request.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used and Meta Pixel to measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Both use their own cookies and identifiers and are not loaded until you accept them in the notice shown when you enter the site. If you reject them, the site works the same.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link in the footer. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction, update or deletion, and object to its processing or ask for portability, as allowed by Chilean data protection law. Write to reserva@paseito.cl with your name and the email you booked with; we will reply as soon as possible. If you gave your consent (for example, for cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), restricted access to internal server files and a password-protected administration panel. No system is infallible, but we work to reduce risks.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the regulations change. The current version is always published on this page, with its update date.
